Rohi Zacharia operates Zaks Guns from a Howard Road location in Madera, serving Fresno County with retail firearms services and CCW class availability. The business functions primarily as a California-licensed FFL dealer specializing in firearm transfers, ammunition sales, and law enforcement purchasing programs. As a Blue Label dealer for Glock, Zaks Guns extends LEO and First Responder discount pricing on Smith & Wesson and Sig Sauer firearms. The shop accepts transfers from major online retailers and auction sites including Buds Gun Shop, Palmetto Armory, and Target Sports USA, charging a $42.81 handling fee plus $37.19 registration for complete firearms and $10 per lower receiver. John Lewis traces his firearms path to age 13, when a family friend—a Marine veteran and retired California Highway Patrol officer who became Merced County Constable—invited him on his first hunting trip and taught him foundational weapons handling skills. Lewis later worked alongside gun department experts at Herb Bauer Sporting Goods in Fresno, where colleagues encouraged him to pursue professional instruction. Today he operates JLPFI from Clovis with approval from Fresno County Sheriff, Fresno Police Department, Madera County Sheriff, City of Madera, Tulare County Sheriff, Kings County Sheriff, Merced County Sheriff, and Mariposa County Sheriff. His 16-hour initial CCW course runs $425 and includes two eight-hour sessions (or four four-hour sessions) covering penal code, reciprocity, threat assessment, aftermath protocol, live-fire drills at 3, 5, 7, and 10 yards with 150–200 rounds per weapon, a one-hour mental health presentation, and a 30-question exam. Eight-hour renewals cost $225 and require 100 rounds per weapon. Lewis offers only private or small-group formats—never large classes—and emphasizes what he calls "Forever In Training" (FIT): the distinction between shooting and training, building mindset and muscle memory for real-world defense. He also provides new-owner orientation, advanced instruction, monthly membership packages, and Firearm Safety Certificate instructor certification. Testimonials note his knowledge, passion, and safe teaching environment, with one client writing that after 30 years of CCW classes with other instructors, Lewis "sharpened my skills" and taught "excellent concealed carry techniques."
