Distinguished Firearms Instruction specializes in Concealed Weapons Classes and Firearms instruction in a fun and extremely safe environment. They offer comprehensive CCW training including a 16-hour, two-day class that complies with California rules and regulations and new SB2 changes, complete with tactical/CPR/trauma training. The company serves Shasta County and Siskiyou County areas with various class options including renewal courses and introductory classes.

Firearms Academy of Redding has provided firearms training, self defense and CCW instruction to Shasta County and Northern California for over 30 years. Owner and instructor Joel Northrup is POST certified and approved by the Shasta County Sheriff's Office as a CCW instructor. The Academy offers initial and renewal CCW classes that meet the new DOJ training standards, as well as advanced defensive pistol training and non-resident CCW training for Florida and Arizona permits.

Down Range Indoor Training Center is Northern California's only 5-star NSSF-rated range, offering both initial 16-hour and renewal 8-hour CCW permit courses, advanced pistol training, and specialized courses for women and youth.
